I think that Obama gave a very great and important speech. For centuries many americans have been racist, which includes people all over the world. I feel that what Obama's reverend had said against america was very wrong. Racial Views by people are very wrong, no matter what color your skin is your no different than another person with a different color skin. Even though being racist to other people with a different skin color than you is wrong you can't change a persons thoughts about race. People who are racist will keep their thoughts and beliefs about how they view race because they were brought up viewing race the way they do now. The people who view race this way will also share there thoughts with there children and those children will hand those thoughts off to there children and it will go on and on. So basically you can never change all the racial minds and thoughts in america there will always be racist people. Obama is also from a family with both black relatives and white reletives so he knows both sides of race. He knows alot about this situation especially because he spent alot of time with his white grandma and she was scared of alot of black men so she kind of put racism in obama. In conclusion i think race is very wrong and obama had alot of very interesting things to say about race and america and his speech probably changed alot of thoughts in peoples minds and also changed what people thought about his reverend in a good way.
